Position Overview:

Keshequa Central School is currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Social Studies Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Social Studies, fostering a positive environment and contributing to the overall academic success of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and rigorous Social Studies lessons in alignment with the school's curriculum.

  • Foster a love for history and critical thinking skills among students.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and create an inclusive learning environment.

  • Implement various assessment strategies to measure student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance instructional practices.

  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.

Position Overview:

The Keshequa Central School is seeking an innovative and student-centered Business Teacher to serve students in grades 5 through 12. This full-time position includes teaching middle school business exploration courses, high school electives, and potentially college-level business offerings. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop both core business knowledge and the real-world skills employers seek today—including critical thinking, teamwork, digital literacy, and professional communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, standards-based instruction in:
     

    • Middle school business foundations: Personal finance, entrepreneurship, digital citizenship, and career exploration

    • High school business electives: Accounting, Sports Marketing, Business Law, Criminal Law, Business Communications, and Keyboarding

    • College-level or dual-enrollment courses in partnership with higher education institutions (if qualified)
       

  • Embed transferable career-readiness skills into daily instruction:
     

    • Communication, collaboration, leadership, problem-solving, adaptability, and digital fluency
       

  • Use project-based learning and authentic assessments to connect instruction with current workplace expectations

  • Incorporate NYS Career Development and Occupational Studies (CDOS) standards and pathways

  • Engage students in work-based learning experiences and prepare them for participation in co-curricular programs (e.g.Junior Achievement)

  • Maintain effective classroom management, grading, and communication practices

  • Collaborate with colleagues across grade levels to build a cohesive, skill-aligned business curriculum

Position Overview

Keshequa Central School is currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Director of Pupil Personnel Services for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, coordination, and oversight for all special education programs and student support systems within the district. This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, supervises specialized staff, manages budgets and grant funding, and promotes equitable, high-quality services for all students. The Director also supports building administrators in implementing comprehensive systems of student support and oversees key academic initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise and evaluate:

    • Special Education Teachers

    • Interventionists

    • Related Service Providers

    • Mental Health Staff (e.g., school psychologists, social workers, counselors as applicable)

    • Pupil Services Clerical Staff

    • Counseling Clerical Staff

    • CSE/CPSE Chairpersons (1 part-time TOSA, 1 Psychologist)

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development to staff to ensure effective service delivery, billing, and compliance.

  • Foster collaboration among general education, special education, and student support teams.

Program Oversight

  • Oversee all special education programming, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and best practices.

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of student support systems, including:

    • Student Support Teams (SST)

    • Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)

    • Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)

  • Support building administrators in addressing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional student needs.

Budget & Grants Management

  • Develop, manage, and monitor the special education budget.

  • Oversee and ensure compliance for federal and state grants, including but not limited to:

    • IDEA 611 and 619

    • Title Grants

    • Other assigned funding sources

  • Ensure appropriate allocation and reporting of funds to maximize program effectiveness.

Compliance & Accountability

  • Ensure district compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to special education and student services.

  • Oversee IEP processes, due process requirements, and state reporting.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and monitoring.

Program Coordination

  • Oversee and/or coordinate implementation of key academic and support initiatives, including:

    • AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination)

    • Early College programs

    • Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways

    • Tutoring

    • McKinney Vinto

  • Ensure these programs align with district goals and support diverse learner needs.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between the district, families, community agencies, and external partners.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding program goals, student progress, and compliance matters.

  • Participate in district leadership teams and strategic planning efforts.

Keshequa Central School is a rural district predominantly in southern Livingston County.  Our district also goes into Allegany and Wyoming counties.  The district covers 117 square miles of rolling hills and valleys.  Our elementary campus (pre-k through 4) is located in Dalton while the middle school/high school (5-12) is located in Nunda. 

The School Nurse is responsible for promoting the health and well-being of all students and staff.  Duties include but are not limited to providing first aid, managing chronic health conditions, administering medications, monitoring student health records, monitoring immunization compliance, and serving as a liaison between school personnel, families, and healthcare providers.
