Main Office Secretary | | Main Office Secretary Job Summary: The Main Office Secretary provides administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the main office in a combined middle and high school setting. This role requires excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills to serve students, staff, families, and the community with professionalism and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities: Administrative Duties: -
Manage phone communications: screen and direct calls, take messages, and provide accurate information. -
Maintain the daily operations of the main office, including mail distribution, filing, record-keeping, and ordering supplies. -
Prepare and distribute school-wide communications, memos, and announcements. -
Coordinate and maintain the principal’s calendar, including appointments, meetings, and room scheduling. Records Management: -
Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with FERPA and district policies. -
Assist with report cards, scheduling, and transcript requests. Communication & Community Relations: -
Handle sensitive matters with discretion, tact, and professionalism. -
Support school event planning, communications, and logistics (e.g., open house, parent-teacher conferences). School Operations: -
Assist with emergency drills, safety protocols, and the coordination of substitute coverage. -
