The district is situated between the beautiful Letchworth and Stony Brook State parks. There are two campuses; the Dalton Campus has one elementary (grades Prek-4), and the Nunda Campus has one middle school (grades 5-8) and one high school (grades 9-12).
Position Overview:
Keshequa Central School is currently seeking a compassionate, student-centered Elementary School Counselor to join our PreK–4 team. The counselor will support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development of all students, while fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. This role provides direct services to students, consults with teachers and families, and contributes to a comprehensive counseling program aligned with district goals and New York State standards.
Responsibilities:

Provide individual and small-group counseling to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Design and deliver classroom lessons that support social-emotional learning, character development, and positive behavior.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies that promote student success.

Support early intervention and prevention efforts, including crisis response and referrals to outside resources as needed.

Participate in student support team meetings, IEP/504 processes, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS).

Maintain accurate records, comply with confidentiality requirements, and uphold ethical standards of the counseling profession.

Engage in ongoing professional learning and contribute to a positive, collaborative school environment.
