The district is situated between the beautiful Letchworth and Stony Brook State parks. There are two campuses, the Dalton Campus has one elementary (grades Prek-4), and the Nunda Campus has one middle school (grades 5-8) and one high school (grades 9-12).
Position Overview:
Keshequa Central School is currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Social Studies Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Social Studies, fostering a positive environment and contributing to the overall academic success of our students.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging and rigorous Social Studies lessons in alignment with the school's curriculum.
Foster a love for history and critical thinking skills among students.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and create an inclusive learning environment.
Implement various assessment strategies to measure student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance instructional practices.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Studies, Social Studies Education, or a related field.
Possess extensive knowledge of New York State K-12 Social Studies Framework and New York State Next Generation Learning Standards for Literacy in History/Social Studies
New York State certification in Social Studies 7-12
Strong knowledge of Social Studies content and a passion for teaching.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students.
Experience:
Previous teaching experience at the middle/high school level is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with diverse teaching methodologies and technology integration.
